The Story
A home on the Nile, made to be shared.
Nubia Dahabeya
Nubia began as a deeply personal project, a family dream to create a place on the Nile that felt like home.
Not a hotel. Not a product. Not something designed for crowds.
From the very first sketch of the hull, Nubia was imagined as a space to be lived in. Every detail was considered slowly and intentionally, with the belief that true luxury is found in calm, space, and care. What was never meant to be commercial eventually became something worth sharing.
Built with just six cabins and designed to host a maximum of thirteen guests, Nubia was originally created for private journeys only, a home reserved for those who wished to experience the Nile entirely on their own terms.
Over time, and by request, the journey evolved.
Today, Nubia welcomes both private charters and a limited number of shared sailings, allowing guests to book individual cabins while preserving the same sense of intimacy, flexibility, and quiet.
This careful balance between privacy and openness has been recognized beyond the river itself, with Nubia receiving an international interior design award for craftsmanship and design excellence.
What was never meant to be commercial eventually became something worth sharing.
Every space on Nubia was designed to be lived in - from sunlit decks to quiet corners meant for reading, conversation, and rest. The images below offer glimpses into the rhythm of life on board.
